Hot dog cart signage

Hello, I amnew to the forum. I have an aluminum hot dog cart that I bought a few years ago. I currently have a rather bland looking vinyl sign stuck to it. I really want something with eye catching appeal. Is it possible to paint a sign on aluminum? or should I stay with a vinyl adhesive sign? They say flash is cash. Any info would be great. The aluminum looks so blah and is really hard to try and put a shine on. I am definately going to try and buy another one in the future that does not use aluminum. Thanks

I would go with a few of those magnetic signs, or get a hi speed drill and some polishing compound and bring it back to life. BUT if you use signage you could take it to you new cart. Just a thought! jojobeans

get an aluminum wheel polish at your local auto parts store and then like jojo said use a buffer afterwards use a higloss clear acrylic spray paint, alternativly you could paint the cart an eyepopping orange or yellow, black vynil(sp) available at marinesupply or craft stores would contrast nicely
