Hi All,

I didn't want to detract anymore from GoBurger's thread which I look forward to hearing more about!  So started this thread for anyone interested in Hotdoggers.

We opened in October, the location we opened has been a restaurant throughout the years.  I haven't read too much of forum yet, so hope I'm not out of place.  We're not a mobile operation or anything.  But I look forward to discussing any and all ideas to improve everyone's operations.(Please take that as tear my business apart, will help us make it better!)

To CCinNJ, yep we do have Philly Cheesesteaks, actually one of our best sellers.  Knowing the tricks of that has helped :)

I grabbed the keys to the welcome wagon and you certainly are welcome to share the tricks...and treats!! Hopefully...we will welcome many many more!

Since you are in Nascar country with the Taylor ham on hand...a spin on building  a bologna "burger" for lunch would be a great experiment. Cheese pickles etc.  Put some cole slaw on it and you have the NJ/NC version.

Do you have anything for dessert?

What is a Norfolk snap dog?

That sounds like a really good idea for a sandwich!  We have to buy ours presliced for now though we don't have a slicer here.  And I'm with you on calling it pork roll that's what I put it on our breakfast menu as.  But if anyone around here knows it, it's as taylor ham.

Norfolk dog is also know as a snap-dog it's a hormel with more of a sausage like, tougher casing then a regular hot dog.

Desserts, not really yet.  We tried cookies.  We ate too many of those LOL.  Going to get some hand dipped ice cream in soon so we'll have that.  Then probably bring back the cookies or brownies.

A five mile run to work off a Black & White cookie...that does the trick!

I am gonna break out the Donvier tomorrow to make some ice cream. From there some "deconstructed pie shakes".
