How does Ritter's compare to Kopp's? - Tue, 01/24/06 1:51 AM ( #1 )
Just found out about Ritter's having some locations in Indy & Columbus, IN, where we travel thru pretty often. Is their custard as good as Kopp's? or something more like Culver's? I don't usually bother with Culver's, at least in Wisconsin, because it seems to be only slightly better than DQ.

There is a Ritter's in Cincinnati as well, just a bit north of TriCounty Mall on SR 747

I haven't tried Ritter's so I cannot make a comparison

Huh, that would be sort of on the way to Jungle Jim's. May be time for a visit to the big Cin pretty soon.

It's maybe a 5 minute drive from JJ's, mostly eastward

Ritters is much better than Culvers which is superior to Dairy Queen.

Where might I find a Kopps?

Kopps is a Milwaukee frozen custard. Many many good custard stands in Milwaukee and each has their defenders. I've never had Ritters but I always chose Leon's as Milwaukee's best.

Chocolate's the flavor you have at Kopp's if the 2 special flavors are crappy, so it's kind of a moot comparison. Still haven't tried Ritters but I like their idea of having a nut special flavor every day.
