How many pancakes?

I do like pancakes (mostly the traditional variety with butter and syrup) but I can't really eat more than a couple of moderate sized ones at a sitting. I can down some bacon and or sausage with them easily but never really cared for any kind of ham with pancakes, just didn't seem like the right combination. Also only occasionally want eggs to go with them. What say you?

Like the old Pizza joke, "I don't think I can eat 6 slices, please cut it fourths". Can't eat 3 moderate sized ones? Ask for 6 less than moderate sized ones! I like a pancake sandwich - 2 pancakes with plenty of butter to spread and 2 eggs over easy in between them. No Syrup!

I always get just 2 if I can, more room for hash, bacon, toast, home fries, etc.

One or two large pancakes with two sunny side up fried eggs on top , a few pats of butter and lots of real maple syrup -when in the South corn syrup will do Frequently, I am delivered, despite my clear request, two plates - pancakes on one and eggs on the other. And I am informed by the waitperson that the "kitchen" wont do it my way. So, I dump the eggs on the pancakes and proceed happily... Cheers, John

With the other sides, I stick to 2. I'm not 18 anymore I guess.

I like one egg over medium (or easy) and 2 big pancakes and then bacon AND sausage and if it is good, ham. I will take either country ham or city ham but I want it in a steak not wafer sliced.

Now that's funny, I'm just the opposite. Never want pancakes on the same plate as my eggs. Don't want egg yolk on my pancakes and especially don't want syrup on my eggs. I always ask for another plate if they bring them on the same plate. Takes all kinds doesn't it? seafarer john One or two large pancakes with two sunny side up fried eggs on top , a few pats of butter and lots of real maple syrup -when in the South corn syrup will do Frequently, I am delivered, despite my clear request, two plates - pancakes on one and eggs on the other. Two or three depending on how big they are. Add bacon and sausage. No eggs. I cant stand eggs of any kind.

Two are enough for me. I like them with butter and a little syrup.
