How much would you pay?

For a FANTASTIC bucket of fried chicken, a whole bird, with 2 generous sides, please go to the max on your estimate! Me, $25.00

Maybe $11-12.99 for KFC. Other prices depend on who's chicken it is!

When we lived in Tennessee our local Broaster place used to charge around $18 for eight pieces with two sides that would serve 4. That was a little on the high side for me except for occasionally.
I don't know what they could do to it to make it worth $25 to me. But I am a fried chicken lover so I would probably try it once. Hopefully I could get a two piece dinner first in order to try it out.

$18 or $19. A bit more if it is pan fried.  Add a buck or two if local, hormone free, antibiotic free and cage free. Also depends on the goodness of the sides and the quality of the biscuits or cornbread.

Here it is $4.50 for just a single breast and we're in the chicken producing capital of the world.  So, $25 seems like a steal to me with 2 good sides.

Maybe $15.00, if the sides were good. Fried chicken is easy and cheap, so paying someone else to make it for me is counter-intuitive for me.

I might be tempted to pay $20 if the rep is good enough. But generally not more than $15.

At Hill Country Chicken in New York, 2 each of breasts, thighs, drums and wings will cost you $26 without any sides.  Large sides are $5 a piece.  A single breast is $5.50.  They have a special: 8 pieces, 4 biscuits, 2 large sides and 4 little pies for $50.

Yes, it's too expensive, but it is, without a doubt, the best fried chicken I've ever had in my life.

So, that would be $36 for most of a whole chicken, with two "generous" sides.  Using my Official Formula for NYC prices for the rest of the country that would be $18 in chewingthefat's neck of the woods.

Sounds about right for "fantastic" chicken and sides.

Now if I could only find some of that fantastic chicken around here. Publix is imo the best choice in my area.

Joe's Stone Crabs in Miami beach (not a cheap place), sells a half fried chicken at their take-away section of the restaurant for $5.99.  So, $12 for a a whole bird, but with no sides.   Maybe about $15-$17 with sides is about right.

Okay, Okay.  I get it.  A fried half chicken...not a half fried chicken.

$15.00 at the most for me. I'm not a huge fried chicken fan though. I always tear the skin off of the chicken regardless of how its made.

I'd pay $15-20 for a bucket of seriously good fried chicken and sides. I haven't had any really good fried chicken around here yet (I won't eat at KFC anymore), but there are a couple of places I want to check out.

$15 max, and the sides had better be really good and not just bisquits/fries.  I can get a good roasted whole chicken at Kroger's for around $5 - $6 and can get two sides from their deli for about $5 total and they have a large selection of sides.

True, but while a good roasted chicken is a real treat, over the top fabulous fried chicken can almost bring tears to my eyes, throw in fantastic homemade mashed potatoes with real chicken gravy and bacon and onion infused fresh green beans, I'll open my wallet as far as the provider wants!
