How old and...

where were you when you had your first, ahem, encounter with the Birds and the Bees? I hope I'm not being too personal!

Depends on your definition of "encounter".

I think I was 6 or 7 the first time I was stung by a bee while shooting crows with my BB gun.

I was stung by a bee at age 3.  When I was 4 I got attacked by a nest of hornets.

And then there was Bob Hope's alleged quip on radio about Betty Grable. "She swallowed a pin when she was 2, but didn't feel the prick till she was 18."

Well.when I took the kids to Sea World in Orlando back in the 90's, a Seagull got me right on the shoulder.......so I guess that completes the "bird" part

I first listened to the Byrds when I was 12. A year later, the "Birds, the Bees and the Monkees" stung me good!

    What's a Birds & Bee's Encounter?
Is that like a trip to the Zoo watching the Monkeys?

My first trip to the Pittsburgh Zoo was on a kindergarten field trip.  The monkees weren't doing "that", but they were doing something I could then understand:  defecating into their paws, then throwing the fecal material as they howled with delight.

Sixty-one years later I see the same behavior exhibited by most politicians, the mainstream media, most cable media, hip-hop "music", and students in the "modern classroom".  And our society seems to be eating it all up.

(Anyone here truly believe that inflation is the 1.5% that our government insists that it is?)

I saw this happen live on TV in Knoxville last week.  It went viral on CNN, the Today show and many others.  I know both the TV anchors.

Well I was 19, spent the Summer in Johnstown, Pa. working at a family business, lived in a crummy rooming house, met this girl that was huge, not tall, even by Coal Miner's standards, but 8-10 beers cures all at that age!

That bunny will never make much progress if he persists in humping shoulders.
How about cockroaches? They do it while running up the wall together. I swear, no sense of discretion at all! What is the world coming to?

Oh, well, if seeing animals counts...my grandma lived next door to an Amish farm. I'm gonna say I was maybe old enough to walk.

Romance was so far from my mind that Google Maps wouldn't have found it!

My Parents and Brother were in the last huge flood there in 1977!

I didn't even know there was another flood. I do remember the high water mark on the building on the square from the 1889 flood.

When I lived in Brussels a pigeon pooped on my head........that completes my "bird" experience.

Circa 1966, I had a bird of unknown type deposit a load right into my fresly made fountain cherry Coke; happened right there in front of the New Wilmington Isaly's.  A quarter wasted!

You mean the birds that congregate in the "Amish parking lot", picking 'goodies' out of the horse poo?

(Too bad New Wilmington doesn't have (NYC's) Bill de Blasio for a mayor.  He would decree that Amish horses wear diapers, be force-fed Beano, and restrict their travel to Federally-subsidized 'horse & buggy only' (HBO) lanes.  Regarding fountain Cherry Cokes - presently " />unregulated" /> in New Wilmington - he would mandate that they be concocted in City-determined proportions by union labor, and be restricted in size to 16 oz.!  He'd bring order to those bitter Bible & gun clingers; they've run amok for too long now).
