How to Enjoy Roadfood While Traveling Along with Man's Best Friend?

Pretty simple logistical problem I'm facing. I'm driving from Baltimore to Pittsburgh by myself (no wife) and taking the pup with me. So, does anyone have tips for avoiding the fast food chains and enjoying some good Roadfood along the way? I can't really leave the guy in the car alone considering how frigid it is outside so I'm not sure how to avoid the drive thrus.

Get the food to go. Many RF stops will have food you can eat in the car. The Stern's have been eating off of their dashboard for decades. Just remember the napkins!!
