I'll skip everything with mushrooms, nuts, rhubarb and chocolate. The rest sounds edible, though.

*snicker* Rhubarb is wonderful if enough sugar is added. It's a vegetable I'll eat while humming.

Speaking of humming, I passed a gas station this morning and the price had jumped 18-cents a gallon overnight to, and this is abso*******lutely unbelieveable, $4.15.9 a gallon. My brain was humming a combination of Thus Spake Zarathustra and It's A Small World After All. This was the first time in my life to ever see gasoline at four bucks a gallon.

Oh no. I hate to see what ours is. At the cheap no name station near here it was $4.23 a few days ago. Terrific.

Canapés? I say, 'Can o' peas my ass:! That's a Ritz cracker and chopped liver! (Pentangeli to Fredo) That's a Royal lunch alright. Probably send a Commoner like me to a Royal flush!

Well, I could go for the smoked salmon and duck terrine. Along with the champagne I would be a happy guest! Incidentally, my granddaughter asked if we could have the meal that the wedding couple were going to have tonight. My answer was "Certainly! Just as long as they are having ham loaf and potato casserole, you can". She was a happy child.
