I am going to die from pancreatic cancer...

I just saw this article about a possible link between

Bacon and Sausage in the morning may increase the risk of pancreatic cancer

http://abcnews.go.com/blo...en-sausage-and-cancer/

1 link of sausage = 19% increase of cancer

I eat like 5 or 6 links so that means an increase of 95+ %

I AM DOOMED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Idon't eat bacon very often -- perhaps once or twice a year. Sausage, though? Well, lots of that.

If they do further testing they will discover Alcohol negates the downside of Bacon, munch, munch, and Sausage, munch, glug!  Like my Screwdrivers with another Breakfast must, fresh OJ!

If you read, listen or watch TV enough, you will discover that you will have issues with everything you do.  No smoking, drinking, eating, smelling, loving or enjoying the outdoors due to environmental issues.

I'll see your Screwdrivers and raise you a Bloody Mary at Brady's Run Grille in New Brighton, Pennsylvania. The marvelous mix is made by Trish, and each drink is a meal in itself.

I have often wondered if alcohol negates cholesterol?  The reason I ask is several years ago, I had extremely high cholesterol.  I started having a few extra cocktails daily and my cholesterol levels dropped.

I am now 70 and just a few days ago, my physical and blood chemistries were perfect.  Is alcohol good medicine?  No wonder it has been application since way before biblical times.  Jesus turned the water into wine, not diet Pepsi or Kool Aid.  Gotta be a good reason for that.

Oh well, it is going on 6:00PM and time for my medicine

You scared the BE-JEASUS out of me when I saw the title! I was on my way to light candles for you until I read the post.
    DON'T SCARE ME LIKE THAT!
That being said, I must be reincarnated since my consumption of those vile products must have killed me years ago!

No disagreement from me, a really great Bloody Mary is all but impossible to beat!

In one man's very humble opinion......I have had 60+ years of tasting great stuff and enjoying good food and may have cut out those last 5 years of drooling away in a wheelchair in some home, being otherwise "fit&healthy".  Science - and folks on science grants - love to scare us.  Wish more research was put into Gene pools than into food additives as to longetivity and health (they are finally getting there on Cholesterol!). Yes, for some.......most likely because of their genetic make-up.....some foods are no/no's, but what happens is they issue these sweeping generalities to include all people. Give me my bacon, my sausage, and a few stiff drinks in the evening....and I'll see ya all later in the Home!  And someone really should define what "processed" means!  Milk is processed! So is water if you are on a public supply or have a water softener or filter in your house. Additives?......isn't "irradiating" milk with some sort of possibly harmful gamma rays adding something to it?

Back in "the good ole days" when food was raised at home and meat shot off the back 40, did those folks all live to a ripe old age?

OK.I know some will take offense at my light-hearted BS, but there is a trade-off between being "healthy" (physically, mentally, emotionally) and longetivity
