So many people on line today. I'm avoiding my duties to clean up after the ice storm. Got to go work on the chickens in a few minutes however. Guess I need to go get a burning permit also. Tractor is a mess after pulling out the church van yesterday.

Funny but some of my fondest memeories are of being included in pig roasts. My father was from NYC and would simply tell my uncles to take me and make me into a complete rebel...teach him how to roast a pig...we don't do that up north. Very good man...allowed me to hunt even though to him the only place you should have guns was on your wings.

Didn't have a tooth in his head (or much of a face) after a bad crash w/ a Corsair F4U. The Navy charged you a dollar on your O club bill when you cracked up an aircraft. Wonder if they still do that? If he was still above ground he'd be 87.

Wifie is bringing back two Boston butts this afternoon. Started burning down some hickory and oak...long night ahead but
I'm strangely looking forward to it. Hope she remembers the beer.
