Yes Sir, all sandwiches can come grilled on a pannini, or cold, I have french bread white and wheat, regular white wheat and muti-grain..My husband is a bread man my night, my employee by day,,lol....We have all different snacks, ice cream, fruit, snack pack pudding, apple sauce, nuts ect..Thanks for the positive response, they have varried, I was in Sams doing my initial purchasing when and old man approached me I guess wanted to pick a fight...I just let him ramble..' Whats all that for? Ahh that won't fly, people want french fries and funnel cake, that may be so. Although, when given an option, I don't care where you are from, how much money you have, people like good food, and are taking care of themselves, more and more...Some still say women eat salads, I find the past ten - 15 years, men eat salads just as much if not more..

I like your ideas and how you do things. I do a Cranberry cream cheese spread with turkey, swiss cheese, sprouts, lettuce tomato, cucumber on a Croissant. It always went over well on my Deli sand menu. Do you use portabella mushrooms for a grilled Portabella & Avocado burger ???? Shrimp Ceviche tostada with chopped cucumber and Avocado may be a way of entering seafood into your ideas ............... Great job on your menu and your approach to this business, you are a breath of fresh air............Bill

Great idea on the pestos, I took a class at CIA Napa a few years ago. It was a class on Pestos & Pastas. A lot of real good Ideas you may be able to use. The pesto could also be used for your grilled panini sands. I make a Red Pepper Coluis for steamed broccoli that may go good on a grilled veggie sand. I get ideas from many people and books. I talked to a chef in Montana once that gave me a good recipe for a deep fried club sand using egg bread. It is deep fried crunchy on the outside and cheesy flavorful on the inside.... I also like the Quesadillas, you can come up with many variations for that item...............If I can help in any way just yell, If I get one good menu item out of 50 ideas i consider it a success............Bill

I do need a killer veggies sand. I like the grilled veggie idea..I will experiment..I am up for any new ideas. My last place I worked , The Fish House in Pensacola, awesome, AWESOME, food, just went there Sat. (goodgrits.com), I learned a lot there, it was what I needed being in the buss. for so long, it was like school. We just got in for the day, second best, we are growing, it is really cool working for myself, I never knew I would enjoy it so much.

The thing to watch out for is building too many complex sandwiches and salads that may include an ingredient few or several that turn some off as-is. They become deal breakers and menu weight. Better to start with a strong popular base with options available upon request instead of tons of run-on and on and on menu selections. Some people never bother to make a request to leave several items off or out of a selection as opposed to seeing that it is possible to request their own specialized selections.

Great Idea, a picture is worth a 1000 words. In most cases people don't know what they want and a picture helps them decide. I always had pictures in my catering business and found it helps sell a buffet or sit down meal a lot easier when people were able to see what I had to offer. I was looking at some stock photos and saw a Chicken Cordon Bleu sand that had you written all over it

paceflchick ... I need to take pictures of all my food..I am going to print them out as 8x10's and put them up for my customers...if I can get them up there nice and neat... We changed our printed menu out for a picture menu based on some info I found on this site. It was only one event but we sold a lot more and the customers seemed to order easier. Since we put them on our sneezeguard, I used my Printmaster program to print out 11X8.5" pages (4 items per page) . We have limited space to post the menu. I got all the pics, except one, off the internet. We photographed our cinnamon roll and edited out the background. I do want to take actual pics our other items. I also covered our menu with laminated document protectors. This works for us because we post the menu on the inside of our plexiglass sneezeguard and it keeps them clean and dry. Also do the same for health permits, etc.

Good question Steve. Paceflchick, Just for your information Kim Komando ran a tip of the day recently, about a software program that allows anyone to search for images on the internet that were pirated from the original owner. So be careful about using a picture from someone’s web site on your web page. They of course can’t search your on site food service operation, but to use a picture you don’t have the rights to could be dangerous or at least prove to be very embarrassing.

PopsDogHouse ...How closely do the photos resemble your actual food? Pretty close. I looked at lots of pics before choosing. Problem is the hot dog only had ketchup & mustard (and applied the same as we do ours) and the sausage was plain but on a similar bun in a similar dog caddie (tray) as we use. The BBQ pic is on a seeded bun whereas ours is on a plain bun. Photo editing produced an odd looking bun so we kept the seeded bun pic. That is the biggest reason we need to shot pics of our food. The drinks & chips were all pulled from the internet. Only one had to be edited to remove the background. I'm not too worried about rights as my pics do not come from commercial sites nor appear to be from Professionals (or other vendors). I do think if you are able, then use pics of your own food. I put my picture menu together one night, printed it out and posted it the next day. It was the last time we were set up and I will be getting new pics before we set back up again. Both plain and "loaded".

And your use of them without express permission from the owner is actionable.

You're using an image of someone else's food to sell yours, which at the very least is unethical. You said in an above post that you got the information and suggestion to do this on this forum. What you got from this forum was a suggestion to use pics of YOUR food in your menu. Nobody suggested stealing pics to use on your menu.
