I start at Lowes tomorrow

Well, I am one week shy from my first anniversary in the hot dog business and I scored the biggest coup so far today, as I got the much coveted spot in front of Lowes, starting tomorrow.

This is a HUGE deal. This is the only Lowes within a 12 county radius and does a LOT of business.

Thanks to everyone for all the kind words.

Well, like most first day adventures in this business, I packed for the best, and was ready for the worst, and the money met me in the middle.

I have not been thrilled with the first fews days of results, but certainly not discouraged.

I do find it interesting the different tastes between the late night bar crowd and the lunch crowd. The differences are really striking, in terms of product and toppings. Well, it's all money.

late night bar crowd??? you working 24/7 ??? hey rick, be consistant with hours, but dont kill yourself. the money will come, even with southern country folk, it takes time to get them to trust and befriend you. great location, congrats!!!!!!!!

Just wanted to add my words of encouragement. Wishing you every success. Stay the course. I wish you were in front of our local Lowes. I am their frequent flyer in the garden area and would love a good dog. Keep us posted.

I got the Lowe's spot through the locals. Like many of the "coveted spots" in this business, it was a simple matter of asking. I had asked 3 or 4 times in the past year, this time the answer was yes.

Let us know how things are going at Lowes, Rick. Ive made the initial contact with a local Lowes and am interested to see how things are going for you.
