Pilot intelligence is weighted towards pattern recognition. I like the way this test maximizes for it. BTW, the code is "High Scores"... if you don't know what that means, then it doesn't matter. Tom

This test only measures spatial intelligence, something that a pilot needs to be good at. The test discriminates against women as our brains are not "built that way". On a traditional IQ test, where the problems are more varied and involve language, comprehension etc., women do better. On the other hand, my "normal" IQ score is 137. Not too far off. Your IQ is: 130 You missed questions: #6 #7 #8 #12 #14 #15 #16 #17 #20

It's what comes up when you get them all right. "MENSA: code='high scores'" I didn't, btw, I just figured out a way to get the code to come up. I wondered how those people got their names there. I got the first dozen or so right, then lost interest and guessed at the rest and got them all wrong. I got a 130. Tom

I'm having trouble with this politically correct thing. I thought we were all just alike (neither sex better at math or language) according to the reaction when the college professor said other wise. Now here is the opposite view. What's a girl to believe?

What's a girl to believe? Frankly, I think it's a cop out. I can do everything a man can do wearing high heels and carrying a baby on my hip. I'm capable enough to learn how to do anything. I've done concrete, changed my own tires, built picnic tables or whatever else needed doing and still had dinner on the table for 7 kids and a man. If you think you can't, you won't. And if you don't try, you'll never know. If we are going to demand equal treatment and equal pay, we need to do something to deserve it. Can't be simpering and still want it. My grandmother is a true lady and she's prolly having a conniption fit about my saying this, but it's true

Although I got #160 (missed 13 and 16), this was much harder than the FAST test I took before Army flight school many moons ago.

I've been waiting for your comment Having been one yourself, you know that U.S. Naval Aviators are the "best of the best", but you also know darn well that Marine Aviators ARE Naval Aviators, and that, in fact, many Navy pilots have been trained by Marines. (lol) For those of you who think that they are "pilots", let me tell you a little story. A friend had just passed the final test to become a pilot for American Airlines, and we were having a little celebration. A non Marine guest chimed up that he got HIS pilot education the "hard way........he paid for it". My friend commented, "Oh....you have landed on a pitching deck, at night, out of fuel, in a storm, in a plane that didn't want to fly due to all of the holes in it?". To the guest's credit, I have never seen a man more embarrised. I'm a (non active)civilian pilot myself, but I am in awe of our Naval Aviators

Getting so you cannot even tell a joke anymore. When I was at Rossy Roads NAS the ladies told me they could always tell a Navy Pilot by his little thingamajig, big watch, and wanting to cash a check. John

You are correct about Marine aviators. Been that way since WWII and hopefully will remain that way forever. They do get stuck w/ some really dangerous equipment however, ie the Osprey and the Harrier. But to your friend's comment. A night landing on a carrier on a calm sea w/ a full moon is terrifying. Add any other factor and it just gets more "interesting". As to the awe factor, well most military fighter jocks trade getting a airline job after the service (airlines generally want transport pilots) for a really bad case of hemmroids (G forces) and the FUN of flying a supersonic high performance aircraft. Most fun you can have w/ your clothes on. I do miss it.
