ISO: this van window. Any ideas? Mon, 04/4/11 7:50 PM (permalink)
Hi, everyone.
I saw this window on a food van (waffles, Edmonton, AB).
(I couldn't post pic...????? Here's a link to the photo, scroll down a bit)

I like it and since we're looking at a van conversion, I thought I'd check/price it out.
I've sent two friendly 2 email inquiries on the source of the window to the business but am being ignored. (Jeez, how's that for P.R.?)
So thought I'd post it here and perhaps get some feedback on its practicality too.
Thanks in advance, o wise 'uns.
Karen
Looks like I can't post the url or picture.

ya know, from sitting here looking at it for a sec, i bet you could simply box out the opening, and then just install a simple slider, which would in fact make it a very easy to swallow price for the window....

          That's what I was thinking/wondering. I do like it.
One thing that concerns hubby is compromising the structural integrity of the van depending upon the size/location of the window.
          Thanks Bruce.

It won't hurt a thing as your not touching the vehicles main frame rails and if need add rubber supports between cab and frame rail under van on that side of window as  a precautionary measure. Mike

              Nice van conversion!

What's the price range on conversions?
