Hey All!

My sister came for a visit last week (from CT) and brought me two packages of Hummels hot dogs and two packages of awesome New England hot dog rolls! AND she brought me a t-shirt from TURKS of Savin Rock (early birthday present).

With utmost glee, a fired up the grill, and carefully buttered and grilled (in a pan) both sides of the hot dog rolls, split the hot dogs lengthwise, got out the Gouldens mustard, chopped white onions and made some hot relish (like Glenwood makes).

IT WAS SOOOOOO GOOOOOD !

I've got most of the goods frozen, and will carefully take out a few dogs and rolls each Saturday for an amazing lunch.

My older sister is coming at the end of May - and hopefully she'll bring more of the same (the long dogs - I hope).

Paul
in Florida.

I bring back 10lbs every time I return from CT. They do not stay as well frozen as they did in the past. After 2 months they start to change flavor. You may need some help finishing those before the next shipment. Give us a call.

Always in the mood for a cook-out...

My kids are coming over on Sunday for my birthday and they didn't want me to cook... but to tell the truth I'd rather have some "dogs". I may submit a request and have burgers and dogs ala "New Haven" sytle. That would be Louie's Lunch burgers and Glenwood hot dogs.
(I can make a very/very/very close Louie's burger) - and I taught the kids how to make them.

We'll see how things turn out.

              Dearfolk,
All that's missing is the Hull's Export Beer! - Wish I had a cold, fresh one of those about now (well, I couldn't drink it here in the library, but I sure could at home!).

              P. S. Congratulations!!

The "New Haven" cookout went well, except that I ran out of New England hot dog rolls... so I had to improvise - taking some PUBLIX bakery hot dog rolls and carefully slicing off the sides... then pan grilling them -

We nixed the "Louie Burger" part because no one wanted to be inside cooking - so we'll save that for a cooler day.

Now today... the folks at work totally TRASHED my office with black party stuff. Its gonna be hard to stay in "work mode".

                Take care all,

                =Paul

Hey,I go to Lauderdale every year. I spotted HD Heaven last March and stopped in for lunch. The owner and staff were real cool and friendly. The place was alive with action and the food was great. Esp. the dogs. I was there less than a week and I ate there 5 times. I am in the hot dog business here in CT and was very impressed with the place
