I'll be darned...me too! About 4 hours after eating a Fat Burger, I began suffering some intestinal upset. Lasted about a day.

Coincidence? Could have been, but there are so many burger places in So Cal, that I wouldn't go back to one where I MAY have gotten sick...

In 'n Out? Love the place mostly because of the freshness of the ingredients. I take my daughter (16) once a week we have a burger and talk about boys...

Cheers,
Steve in So Cal

IMHO folks are trying to make some sort of cultural icon out of what is actually a pretty good Hamburger sandwich. I like the "In n Out" products. When we are in SoCal and want a burger it is in the top two of my possible choices, "Farmer Boy's" being the other. But I don't have the Tee Shirt (for either place) and don't jump up and down and whine if there is not one handy when I think I am hungry. It's a Burger,, a nice, fresh-tasting burger, but JUST A BURGER !! In SoCal you have a huge variety of choices for food and variety (in Roadfood) is indeed the spice of life !!

I think the real attraction is the fact that it is possible for a Chain to produce fresh food to order at a price that is within reason. Do it in a clean enviorment with attentive staff. Instead of using premade, prepackaged, over salted, precooked, microwaved reheated, tasteless, mystery meat products. When I hear someone compare IN-N-OUT to a Whopper or a Big Mac I wonder if people even know what real food tastes like...Russ
