Does anyone know of any restaurants anywhere in the country that serve great Indonesian food?

I know there are some in New York City, but I've never been to them, nor can I vouch for the quality of food! I looked up online and there are others in Tempe, AZ and in San Francisco, as well....

I was at one place in Portland, OR a few years ago that was ok, there is no place near me in northern Michigan that makes it. I actually have a small sate grill that I bought when I lived in Indonesia, but have never used it. One of these days, I'll have to mess around till I find a peanut sauce recipe that tastes the way I remember!

I know of one in New York City -- Bali Nusah Indah, which is on 9th Avenue between 44th and 45th Streets. Indonesia is a big and diverse country and the cuisine represents that. Although the restaurant has the name "Bali" in it, I didn't find very much Balinese food on the menu there. The menu represents the more mainstream cuisine of the larger island, Java. They have the traditional Dutch Rijstaffel (sp?) as well.

My daughter is in the army and stationed in the Netherlands. I hope to be able to visit her there next year. I should be able to find decent Indo food there. Thanks, next time I get to NYC, I'll check that restaurant out.
