Insulated pizza bag for take-out

I love pizza but I have to reheat it when I get home. I'm also in the bag business so I'm introducing to the pizzerias a special insulated bag that will hold 1 or 2 - 18" pies in the box hot for up to 30 minutes -- as a resale bag -- for $2.95 each that is reusable, washable, and keeps the car seat clean. My question; will you buy this bag? It will have the name and phone number of the pizzeria printed on the bag too. If not, why not and if you're a pizza lover, I really need your advice. Marjorie

it's a great idea and Im sure many would use it but personally cold pizza doesnt bother me (see the cold pizza thread under pizza) with most pizza shops delivering are there really that many people who pick-up their own? The insulated bags the delivery people have doesnt really keep the pizza hot, even when getting delivery I turn the oven on low and rewarm the pizza boxes and all

I may/may not be interested in the bag, Marjorie. As a rule my pizza is still hot when I get it home, but there may be someone who has farther to drive that would appreciate the availability of a device. I say yea!

I already have a bag. I bought it at the grocery store. It is mainly for cold stuff, but would fit pizzas, too. I just always keep it in my car. It is metallic looking with a plastic handle that snaps shut. I also keep a medium sized cooler in my car. I use it for cold stuff, too, but my best use for it is when I have my local grocery store steam a lobster, I bring it home in the "cooler" and it stays hot for a long time.

I have have thought such a bag might come in handy for some. Theedge is fortunate to live 8-10 blocks from a couple of mom and pop pizza joints. They arrive hot and bubbly.

Marjorie Such bags were available back in the early 1990s. In fact, I bought a couple when Donato's was selling them at a time when they didn't deliver to my area. They were quie effective. As I recall, they cost $1.50 at the time, and they were for 18-inch pies.

I have a bag much like this that I bought at Sam's Club a number of years ago. It works for both hot and cold but my pizza place is 5 minutes away and keeping pizza warm is not a problem.
