seafarer john In fact, we had a beautiful rack of lamb just last Thursday - although I don't suppose it did much to help tmiles and his friends - the lamb was from New Zealand. Cheers, John In fact I am part of a fairly large minority in the industry that supports imported lamb. The New Zealand lamb is especially good, and I have imported New Zealand Romney genetics in my flock. We don't grow enough lamb, especially during the off season. Down under lamb helps to preserve meat cooler shelf space when there is not enough USA lamb to go around. Don't get me wrong, I'm not in love with the down under product..........I always think of the line in the classic rock song, "....and then go away", when the imported product is still on the shelf when our top marketing season comes into play.
