It can't come soon enough

Yesterday I saw some people working on a seasonal ice cream stand. They had put up a sign saying "opening March 12th". Ice cream season can't come soon enough for me. About the same time or a little later Ronnies in Auburn, Mass and Howard's on Rt 9 in Brookfield will be opening, as well as several seasonal places out by UMass Amherst. I will also be visiting The Clam Box in Ipswich soon after they open. We will be having a "wintery mix" tonight here in Massachusetts. I can't wait for spring.

I hear ya, and although I'm a January baby, I detest cold weather and especially snow. Very depressing! However, there is an ice cream/custard drive-in called Creanie's (we like to call it Creamie's) on the way to my boyfriend's house. They recently put a sign up that said, "Open all year". There must have been a local protest, finally! Their cones are huge, and very flavorful.

Tomorrow's predicted high: 75 degrees, sunny Ho hum. Just another day in winter (here in Tucson). Had a great chocolate dip cone at Dairy Queen this evening, just to cool off, you know.

Its snowing right now, about 3 inches on the ground but it appears to be letting up. Ritters Custard is open all year over in Greenfield. Hope fresh banana is the fruit flavor today.

Polly's, the local seasonal soft-serve place on Hwy 62 in Georgetown, IN Looks dark and cold today. The big sign in the front window says "See ya in the Spring"...that seems so far away. About Groundhog Day they will start a countdown to the season opener ! Usually in late March around the Spring Break Week.

Ice Cream Season? So, is that one of those FOUR season's I keep hearing about? Today's kinda cool upper sixties with a slight breeze but otherwise bright and sunny. Sorry, had to brag.

How about eating a bowl of Blue Bunny ice cream at the Parlor next to where it's made in LeMars, Iowa in the middle of January with wind chill at -40F. My teeth were chattering but the toffee/Heath bar ice cream was satisfying.

Yesterday I was driving through East Greenwich RI during the blizzard dying for a cup of coffee. To my dismay the two local coffee houses I go to were closed. Unfortunately I had to settle for Dunkin Donuts Coffee It was better than nothing, ironically I passed the Seasonal Ice Cream Shack, Hill Top Ice Cream with the sign out that said "See you in March!"

Hope fresh banana is the fruit flavor today. Hi Was 7 below zero here Sunday Morning, had 9 and 1/2 inches of new snow very early Saturday. I drove by the local ice cream stand called swing belly's, they had a sign out that read "opening for the season very soon." Also the Ritter's around here are closed mid-November till March.
