I've come up with a new snack

Fill a large bowl with equal amounts of Goldfish crackers and Froot Loops cereal. It's my newest favorite snack, and just like the stuff that makes Post-It notes sticky, it was all an accident.

Our grandchildren (age 1 and 3) were at our house in August and we are still cleaning up gold fish under the chairs and in the cars.

RECIPE HINT: Never use ersatz froot loops. The taste just isn't right. Always use Froot Loops from General Mills. Or Kellogs. Or whoever makes them.

I might as well share with you how I discovered this amazing concoction. One day a few years ago I opened my pantry, also known as the Fibber McGee closet pantry. Amongst the items that came crashing to the floor, two of them opened up and disgorged a small amount of their contents. Can you guess which two? Since I can't waste perfectly good food, I started scooping up handsful of both items and shoving them into my big mouth. Yes, my floors are clean. So clean, in fact, that you can eat off them.

It's not that I object to the combination per se. I just have never liked goldfish crackers.

Well, at least they sound better than the chocolate-covered cotton balls from Catch-22! (Or, were they chocolate-covered moth balls? Either way, your snack sounds better.) This is an example of "damning with faint praise", if I recall that phrase's meaning correctly.

This is the time of year when people in our office start mixing salted peanuts with candy corn. A deadly good combination that you cannot stop eating. My wife will not let me do it at home.

My older brave zillas will try those though none has eaten more than one per visit. Just waite till the 10x rule ( try 10, you'll like the 11th ) kicks in! Joe

Mmmm, all sounds like giving a try to me. Fp, I might try the mexican cheese whiz? Bl, a dash of carlic powder in the butter sounds good to me. I have some whole grain O's. Think I'll give those a try. Xannie, you could add a dash of hot sauce for tha hubster! Fp, when I was a kid I would always put some salty water from the bucket on my homemade ice cream, so your ideas sound good. Joe
