This appears to be a limited chain in Northern CA, but the food is better than Taco Bell, IMO, if not a bit on the greasy side, but hey, that accounts for some of the flavor!

Their establishments are a bit brighter/garrish (sp) than TB, but the food is cooked to order, and has some decent salsa. Any other's in CA have any opinions ?

I've been to several Jimboys in my eating lifetime, and I definitely agree with the comments. The tacos have that Mexican street food quality to them, albiet filtered through an American fast food sensibility. The salsas have substance and heat, and you can even ask for something a bit more "bravo." The finely granulated parmesean-like Mexican cheese dusted on the outsides of the tacos is another nice touch.

I'll have to give them a try. I'm a big Taco Tico/John's fan. Boo, Taco Bell.

OK so I know this is a super old post but I want to bring it back to life. I am an East Coaster on business in the Northwest and I just had my first Jimboy's taco. They are delicious!! I would NOT compare them to Taco Bell, and agree they taste more like what i would imagine Mexican Street food to be like. I had a beef and chicken taco, the chicken was good, but the beef one was AMAZING! The taco shells where soft yet slightly crispy corn tortillas. So I know its a chain but it was new to me, cheap, and delicious!
