Anyone know what the "zesty sauce" is they mix with their tuna?

Personally, I think it's vomit. I had a JJ tuna sub about eight months ago and I haven't walked back in the place.

I sometimes put Lousiana hot sauce on my tuna. Maybe it's kinda like that? What IS it like Van?

Never tried their subs-I guess as I get old I have my favorites and always order them. But people I know who have had them do not give them favorable reviews..

Their turkey & roast beef sandwiches are good, as is their iced tea.

I hate their tuna. I don't know what the sauce is, either.

It's soy sauce. The tuna is good only if it hasn't been sitting there too long and someone mixes it up before they serve it.

^^It's not soy sauce, it's almost like a thousand island type deal with finely chopped celery & onion & maybe pickle. BLECH.

Give me a #12, no cucumbers, any day.

I cannot understand why anyone would want to buy a tuna sub. Tuna salad on a sub bun? Next thing you know someone will try to sell a sub with turkey or roast beef, or something else really strange -- like a cheeseburger.

One of the schools I attended as a child served tuna salad on hot dog rolls.

I pulled up Jimmy Johns web site from Miami Don's post. They had a list of their side items, one of them was "Real Potato Chips", I hate going to a place and getting fake potato chips! BTW, I have NEVER heard of Jimmy Johns, I'm certain I'll be OK anyhow!

You're right. The idea of putting different meats or anything on a sub roll is quite a foreign concept. The fact that some crazy person actually put cheese on a perfectly good hamburger blows me away. I wish people would stop trying to innovate and doing crazy things thing like putting sauce on pasta, putting lobster in a roll, or putting condiments on a hot dog or hamburger. Absolutely insane!

                                          Alfalfa sprouts?
The sprouts are not bad, it's the celery & "our tasty sauce" that I don't like. I prefer mayo with a shake or two of Worcestershire sauce for my tuna, and instead of celery I put chopped water chestnuts.

Actually, it is soy sauce. No pickles though. Plus, they only go through the trouble of finely chopping celery and onion to make all you internet food trolls angry.

Except in this case, troll = you. Digging up an 8 month old thread for no reason other than to poke at it again.

They had a list of their side items, one of them was "Real Potato Chips", I hate going to a place and getting fake potato chips! BTW, I have NEVER heard of Jimmy Johns, I'm certain I'll be OK anyhow!

I'm pretty sure Shearer's makes their chips. I've bought bags of Jimmy John's small bags at Shearer's outlet in Brewster, OH before.

Jimmy John's is MUCH better than Subway, Blimpie, or any of the other sandwich chains. Their roast beef or italian subs are quite good, IMHO. Never tried the tuna, though.

Anyone know what the "zesty sauce" is they mix with their tuna?

I work at Jimmy Johns so i can clear up what some of these idiots cant. We do make our tuna with soy sauce, but we let it drain add onions and celery and MAYO. The sprouts, cuc, and tom, come on the bread. So our tuna is made seprately. And the one person is right in saying it's only gross if its been made a day in advance instead of the same day as it supposed to be. So secret sauce--soy and Mayo! And for those who wouldn't bother coming in...You're LOSS!! We've been named Americas favorite sub over Subway!
Ps. I LOVE our #2 ---ROAST BEEF, Mayo, Provolone, no tom, Xtra Lettuce.

I agree. JJ is one of the few fast food places I'll eat at. Much better than Subway or any other fast food sub shop. Love the Bootlegger's Club with sprouts.
