Johnnie's Dog House opening in Wilmington

Just noticed this place getting ready to open on Concord Pike 202 just a bit north of the Charcoal Pit on the opposite side of the street. Looks like they will do several kinds of dogs. Hope you locals can keep an eye on the place and let us know when it opens and how it is.

Found out this is a chain www.johnniesdoghouse.com

Anyone heard of/been to another location?

Kind of curious why they offer a dog called Baltimore's Best topped with bacon and coleslaw. In over 50 years of living in Baltimore it's hard to find places serving good hot dogs, and I have never seen one offered here with these toppings, unless some place lists a Southern style dog topped with coleslaw. The only style dog unique to Baltimore is the slice of griddled bologna found on a good deli dog.

They just opened 3 around Grand Rapids. Yet to sample them, but it is a definite chain.

Huh.. How many Johnnies franchises are there going to be? I see what you mean, Johnnies Dog House, vs. Johnnies Lunch, both being hot dogs, both franchising. Sounds like the battle for the name of "Rays" pizza in NYC.
Thanks Signman.. Now I know to watch for the differences.

Was there today. Had a pretty good version of a Chicago Dog only without the poppy seed bun. They use an all beef Nathan's dog and will try to get the kosher version soon.
