Joshua Chamberlain fan

A poster was saying how she would love a picture of Joshua Chamberlain to put next to her picture of General Lee. As promised, I picked one up today when we attended the 140th anniversay of the Gettysburg Address. Who wanted this picture........would like to send it to you.

Yeah...140 years.... And let me tell you...Next year we're gonna stay home and watch it on C-Span...Man the traffic was horrible and the crowd was huge ! They didn't have enough Port-A-Pottys and water was selling for a buck a bottle !
It was as bad as the Balloon Festival out in Albuquerque!
HOWEVER, You should have been here for the Original...A Crowd of over 100,000 troops, and that was just the Union Side... Counting all them Confederates it was bigger than the Balloon thingy and the Superbowl and Elise's Wedding Rehearsal Dinner!
BTW, Sorry I got out of control.

I'll betcha Sundancer was right there with you Mr. Mayor. He's already admitted that he owned a business in 1870.

Oh, we decided no ex'es would be invited, so the troops won't be at our soiree

    Shame on you, Mr Mayor.

Deduct 500 posts from your score. Do not pass Go. Do not collect 200 dollars.

    Oh, well.

    Congratulations!

Thanks a million, Bushie! I had started looking for it but could not find the post. When we post here, we tend to jump from one subject to another really fast. By the way, how did you manage to find it so quickly?

I had actually tried to find it when I checked in the day before, but the "Search" wasn't working. I remembered the original "exchange", and I looked at a couple of threads I thought it my be in, to no avail. You're right, these topics quickly take on a life of their own!

Anyway, last night, the Search was working again, so I just searched for "Chamberlain". It found 6 or 7 threads, and I found the posts on the third try!

The Shipyard Brewing Company of Kennebunk, ME does a lot of memorial
    images of Joshua Chamberlain.
They currently have a 13 label set of various Civil War figures created from individual paintings.
If you are ever in K-bunkport, go to Federal Jack's brewpub (owned by Shipyard Brewing). Various Joshua Chamberlain items are for sale in their shop, as well as a Civil war artist who creates individual art work who has his own shop in the same complex.

That is really interesting. I only hope that I can remember this when we leave on our trip to Maine next summer.

Speaking (in a round about way) of the war of Northern Aggression - I drew my young Nephews name for Christmas and he dearly wishes for some Civil War army figures. Now, I know I could probably find some of the kind that people collect, but this is for an 8 year old boy who is obsessed with the Civil war and would be playing with them.

Thank goodness he is off of WWII. I have witnessed the bombing of Pearl Harbor many times. Only in his versions, the USA always wins the battle.

Any ideas for where to look would be greatly appreciated!
