Go to the Google home page, click on maps, then on get directions, enter New York, New York in your starting box, Paris, France as your end address. Good standard advice until you get to line 23

    that's HILARIOUS.

I use google maps all the time. I find it easier to use than mapquest.

Some programmer definatly had a sense of humor in this case.

I love the take off point before step 23.

It sure sounds like "take a long walk off a long pier".

I wonder why they don't move the take off point further east like St. John's Newfoundland? It would certainly reduce the possibility of hypothermia.

I put in London, Paris, Madrid, Oslo

all came up with the same directions up until step 23

step 23 was always the same.

the swim from Boston to Le Havre is the programmers link from the US to Europe. Which is simply brilliant.
ask a silly question, get a silly response.

            A classic programmer joke.

            Another.

Programmer comes in wearing one shoe...Lose a shoe?...No, found one.

That is funny. Years ago I had a Loran system on a boat that had a bunch of different function codes you'd punch in for different tasks. If you entered function code 69 this message came up..."help, I am trapped in a Loran factory". That always made me laugh.
