Shoot Larry, I missed the Blazin Strips. What were they like? Did they use the same concept as the Spicy and the Wings? I think some of this stuff may only be available in certain areas. Joe

No sauce..just spices. Most of the people I know said the strips were to hot for their liking which might explain their demise.

Larry, that sounds like what they are probably using for the new how wings, and what the used for the Spicy Extra Crispy. No rocket science, the spices are just mixed w/ the batter. In my area the Super Wall Mart deli sells a spicy strip that sounds like those Balzin Strips. They are pretty good and sold by the pound. And, they make a jalapeno whole rotisserie chicken that I like. How do I know so much about Wall Mart food? My grandaughter works there so I go more often. Joe

The jalapeno chicken has a good flavor I think. Of coarse I love jalapenos! The Wall Mart stuff is not real spicy, not for me anyway, but has a good start in the right direction. If I make it home w/ the strips I usually spice them up a bit more. I always have a whole pickled jalapeno to go w/ the rotisserie chicken. Others in my famaly think things are spicy enough like it comes. Wall Mart food, of coarse, may vary by location. Hey, life is a gamble! Joe

KFC isn't bad in a pinch....Hard to really ruin a piece of chicken...well I take that back. Not the best..but then it beats a trash burger place!

I walked out of KFC completely happy just the other day - having noticed the In-N-Out burger across the street.

No wonder they stoped selling the "spicy extra crispy". I am the only one who bought it. I think it was ahead of it's time. I will be surprised if it dosen't make a comeback... but, there is probably more profit in the wings. Next time I have a big crowd coming over I am goin to try and talk KFC into cooking me up some legs, thighs, and breasts, using the spicy wing batter. Hmm, no one interested in a recipe for this sauceless spicy wing batter? Joe

Spicy! Hardly. Will not order again. I don't know, maybe they adjust spicyness for regional markets. I know spicy Popeyes chicken is not as spicy in Florida as it was in New Orleans. KFC is 25 miles closer to home. I still like the original recipe.

Dade, they say Popeyes gets better the closer you get to NO, so... you may be right. KFC has what I think is some real good hot sauce, in those little packs. You could always spice up those wings with that. I used it to spice up the Spicy Extra Crispy with it. I wish I knoew what brand it is. Almost like LA hot sauce but it's not. Joe

With so many people hating these places I wonder how they stay in business??? Why just yesterday I pulled in and out of a Chick-Fil-A because there were no parking spots!

John, maybe KFC does not have to sell much chicken to stay in business? I do know some folks that like KFC. Has anyone tried the new KFC crispy chipolte? TV adds are running in the Dallas metro area. Question I asked earlier... does anyone know who makes the hot sauce KFC gives out in those little packets? It's good! Joe
