, executive director of the Center for Science in the Public Interest, said the lawmakers are right to express reservations about a Burger King free-for-all.
“It’s valuable to have public officials raise questions about giving out fast food, and [companies\] trying to hook consumers on fast food,” he said.
“A five-piece order of the chicken strips has 2,340 milligrams of sodium. That’s as much as any adult can consume in an entire day,” he added.
“Is that the kind of product that should be handed out on city streets? That's something for elected officials to consider.”
