Kent Hotdogs

Howdy, Next week I open my SnoBiz Shave-Ice/Hot Dog cart in Bossier City, La. I'll be selling Kent brand hotdogs (all beef and quite big!). I sampled a couple and they taste as good as the Nathans 'dogs I get from my local Albertson's. Anyone else have an opinion on Kent 'dogs? I know they come from Michigan, thanks to a Forumite who provided a link to Kent's website. Anybody like or dislike Kent's "barkers"? Please chime in! LaryRickenbacker PS: We'll be operating just outside the doors of a Home Depot, so my wife and I are very excited!

Hello All, Good luck LarryR. to you and your wife on the new business. Never had Kent brand, but would love to try them. Are they spicy? Good luck again, and keep us informed on how your business is prospering. Take Care, Fieldthistle

They are good hot dogs! Take it from a fanatic here.. Years ago I remember seeing their sausages on the shelves at the local grocer, but think they went to wholesale only now. And yes, they have a nice and informational website, but emailing them is hopeless... I've tried a couple times now with no response.. May have to drive down to their office with some feedback... Then maybe they'll give me some feedback in return! If you ever get out to the Grand Rapids area, Fifth Third ballpark (home of the West Michigan Whitecaps) serves them big time.

Howdy, This weekend was our first good weekend at HD! Relatively "cooler" weather, lower humidity AND the aroma of freshly grilled red onions is really bring 'em in! I'm getting nothing but staisfied customers with those big Kent "barkers! They're all beef and taste great. When the weather cools down, I'll consider adding Nakatosh coffee. LarryRickenbacker
