Kentucky Ham

I scored twice today. First I went to Newsom's Old Mill Store in Princeton. Their hams are only available a few months each year, and sell out quickly. I was able to get some bacon, breakfast sausage and some hocks and shanks. Then I stopped at Broadbent's and picked up some ham steaks, more bacon and more hocks. All I know is, I'm set for breakfast for the next couple of weeks. www.newsomscountryham.com www.broadbenthams.com

PP, And Lisa See my post on the Prime Cuts forum about Porterhouse. We picked up 15 2 pounders today from our local butcher. $152.00 for 15 steaks (now minus the two that we enjoyed this evening) I think its time for a Steak Nite at the Mayors! We'll make sandwiches out of Pete's ham !!

If you'll stay home long enough, mebbe we could do just that next weekend. Lisa, this is my first bacon from Newsom's. Naturally, I have to be assured that it passes muster before shipping any off to Alaska. I have a reputation to uphold, ya know?
