Tony Bad joerogo Sorry Tony, I must revoke your Italian Heritage. Pick a new letter for the end of your name. I am confiscating the vowel. Hey don't I get points for making Sunday gravy? No. But you get points for adding peanut butter to it. Here I've been racking my brain for three years trying to figure out what I could add to make my Sunday gravy more like Mrs. Landino's, and then you come up with it in a flash. Amazing. My hat is off to you sir. Hmm. Maybe some apricot preserves next year to make her apizza gain better.

This ketchup on a hotdog business is just the sort of inflammatory social issue that should not be allowed on these boards. This is not a food issue; it is an attack by the barbarians on the very foundations of Western culture and civilization. I demand that it be locked and banned forever! Cheers, John

Are we talking unblended ketchup or 50/50 blends here?

Now days to get the true 50/50 blend you gotta mix in some pineapple. Hmm, now that does sound good on the right kinda dog! Joe

Roossy, I hope things are going well! I would love to try one of those frankin salmon dogs they have in Florida. Relish??? A big hot dog hit for the kids in my neighborhood for years was a jumbo 8/1 dog on lightly toasted white bread w/ relish and mustard but... it was dill relish. With sweet relish they used mayo. Let kids call tha shots on how to fix a dog and who knows what they might come up with??? Oh, turkey dogs have become a must for some of the more figure minded girls in my family. And Oh... w/ ketchup! Joe

CajunKing My family enjoys the cheap dawgs, (strange people they are), so I have to doctor a dawg with CATSUP, mustard. When I splurge and buy the good stuff, I dress them with onions, relish, cheese, a spicy mustard or a good stone ground. My Grandfather while he was alive would raid the fridge every night before bed time and eat 2 hot dawgs straight from the fridge, no nothing on them cold from the pack. I still find myself doing that on occaision, reaching into the fridge and pulling out a cold dawg to nibble on. I have done the same thing on many occasions, that is eating a raw dog. When my wife and I go camping and take Patches, our dog, I have many times sat down with her and shared a pack of dogs. She will do 5 to my 1 but whatever, it is good. K-9, human bonding. I prefer my hot dogs with creamy cole slaw and mustard, but if I don't have that it no big deal. I think the Chigago style dogs look awful but have never ate one so who am I to say. I am pretty sure I would never try one. They just do not look good, IMHO. For me it all boils down to whatever floats your boat.

You are allowed to drag a French fry through a puddle of ketchup if you must, but other than that, NO, NO, NO

NYPIzzaNut The condiment of choice for my hotdogs: http://www.nytimes.com/2009/05/20/dining/20united.html?_r=2&ref=dining (and for burgers, eggs, ribs etc etc.....) Ah, "chicken sauce", as a couple of Mexicans I knew called it, who did the Mongolian Barbecue in Annapolis years back. It's a zen thing to have your Mongolian BBQ cooked by Mexicans. Ommmmm. I like ketchup and sweet pickle relish on my hot dogs. But I won't tell you what to put on yours and you let me condiment mine the way I like. You'ns can have all the mustard or whatever for y'seves.

What to say Joe??? Hmmm... thanks! I just bought some of the new Ball Park 8/1 Angus dogs. I was sceptical but they were on sale for $1.50. They got great reviews from my family. Some wanted theirs w/ mustard and dill relish. Some wanted theirs w/ mayo down one side and ketchup down the other. I had mine w/ pickled nacho sliced jalapenos. My dog Scruffy wanted his plain. Hey... it's a dog eat dog world. I'm just glad we are free to make our own choices! :~) Joe

Not that. But I do insist on ketchup on my chili dogs. And avocados. Californians put avocados on everything.

Capt, ketchup on a chili dog is kinda like ketchup in chili. Shhh, I have been known to slip some in a pot of chili... especially if there are a bunch of hungry kids around. Avocados and chili... hmmm? NYP, avocadas and pizza... hmmm? Joe
