Re:Kids B-day Parties?
my only suggestion for you is to have a base price for doing these types of events.
I did quite a bit of catering in CA before moving to Maine, i got a lot of experience with both weddings and private parties. because of this I added catering to my repertoire when i opened my cart.
I have done some company fiunctions here in portland for Trader Joe's and Allagash BRewing, along with a couple of local non profits. I have also catered one wedding, it was for some people we knew a little bit, they were a very young couple so i REALLY worked with them on keeping it affordable, but you'd be surprised what some people will expect to get from you for very little money.
By setting up a base price and making clear what that price includes you can set their expectations very quickly. If you want to be competitive with others in that market see what your local caterers, magicians, clowns etc. are charging and remember they have experience in this field. just my two cents.
