Kincaids-Ft Worth closing

just saw a news report that the original location of Kincaids Hamburgers in Fort Worth will be closing soon. Landlord wants to triple thier rent, and also receive 8% of thier profits. a sad day indeed. They do have a couple other location in the DFW area, but none with 60 years of seasoning on the grill. http://cbs11tv.com/local/Kincaids.Kincaids.hamburgers.2.676725.html

I'm glad they're not going out of business. They'll surely find another location. Parking wasn't the best at the Camp Bowie store. That owner sounds like a biatch though.

Sorry to hear this is happening to them, but since I will be in Fort Worth for the first time in mid-April, I'm glad to see I will be able to make it to that loaction at least once.

Get there before 11:30 or after 1:30 or the place is a zoo. The times I went, I had to park a few blocks away in a residential area. Worth the walk though. Their other location I've visited in Southlake was in a strip mall and the burgers were as good w/o the original Kincaid atmosphere.

It has not happened yet. The public backlash twords the folks, who won't come off the 3% of gross in question, could change things? The story was on the news here in the DFW area.

Sad. I was there recently. Oneiron is right, I went there after 1:30 and I was about the only customer there.

If the owners of Kincaid's are listening, here is my selfish advice; Put a location near the DFW airport so that us Roadfooders can enjoy your burgers while on a layover. I know I would choose a flight that had a longer layover at DFW if it meant an easy trip to Kincaid's!!

there's a location in Southlake...it's about a 10 minute drive from the airport. I ate there on Monday. It's pretty darn good.
