Kincaids-Ft Worth closing

just saw a news report that the original location of Kincaids Hamburgers in Fort Worth will be closing soon. Landlord wants to triple thier rent, and also receive 8% of thier profits.

a sad day indeed. They do have a couple other location in the DFW area, but none with 60 years of seasoning on the grill.

    I'm glad they're not going out of business. They'll surely find another location. Parking wasn't the best at the Camp Bowie store. That owner sounds like a biatch though.

    Sorry to hear this is happening to them, but since I will be in Fort Worth for the first time in mid-April, I'm glad to see I will be able to make it to that loaction at least once.

    Get there before 11:30 or after 1:30 or the place is a zoo. The times I went, I had to park a few blocks away in a residential area. Worth the walk though.
    Their other location I've visited in Southlake was in a strip mall and the burgers were as good w/o the original Kincaid atmosphere.

    It has not happened yet. The public backlash twords the folks, who won't come off the 3% of gross in question, could change things? The story was on the news here in the DFW area.

    Sad. I was there recently. Oneiron is right, I went there after 1:30 and I was about the only customer there.

    If the owners of Kincaid's are listening, here is my selfish advice;

    Put a location near the DFW airport so that us Roadfooders can enjoy your burgers while on a layover. I know I would choose a flight that had a longer layover at DFW if it meant an easy trip to Kincaid's!!

    there's a location in Southlake...it's about a 10 minute drive from the airport. I ate there on Monday. It's pretty darn good.
