Anybody else tried this?

My Costco carries it now, they don't carry the regular so I bought two bags last week, tried it out on Costco filets tonight, seasoned with fresh ground pepper and garlic salt, medium rare for me (135 degrees) medium well for the wife (150). Forgot to take pictures, sorry, they turned out great.

Bags says it heats up quicker and burns hotter and both claims seem accurate, the chimney certainly was burning quicker than with the regular Kingsford, maybe it was burning hotter, it certainly got hotter quicker when I dumped the chimney than the regular did.

I wonder if it burns up quicker than regular and has to be replenished more often when smoking?  Have to get some ribs and try it out, research, research, research.

Is that charcoal in briquette form or in wood chunk form?

I'm smoking tomorrow and will be using a wood chunk type of charcoal and would like to know if you like how the charcoal you posted acts in the long term smoking environment.

I'm taking pictures of the process of turning a corned beef into pastrami and will post them in the 'Recipe' sub-forum.

    First time for me.

IF I'm reading this right, Kingsford went to this style of briquette 2 or 3 years ago. I've used it for at least 2 years now buying it at Costco as well. It works very well for me.

I went to the website and found this:

Also a very generic video by Chris Lilly on there as well.

I see it is a new product. I need to buy briquetts at Costco soon anyways so I'll see if my warehouse has these or not.
