We'll be there set up and boiling in an hour. Stop by if you are hungry.

Is this going to be a regular gig for you? Lately I've been flying in and out of Phoenix, but it's really sporadic. It would be nice to get a good dog.

It's not a regular gig but we do them every so often. This time they had us out on the runway so I guess there would have been no way to stop by. Gods what a long hot day. Freaking wiped.

Yeah that was something. They had us set up serving airport employees. we served 1600 dogs in about 4 hours. It was more like factory production than hot dogging, just throwing them out there as fast as we could put them in buns. We had 2 double-Victors going full boil the whole time. But since it takes so much time to get in and out of security & get hooked up with folks that could supply is with resources, it turned into a 10 hour day in the hot sun. I did this on two hours sleep. I came back with mild symptoms of cardiovascular distress. My pulse was bounding, I felt nauseus and weak. I'm thinking above 90 degrees in the sun in the future, standing behind those carts, about 4 hours time on location total ought to be the limit.

How I keep cool in that heat and working is put a bar towel in the cooler water wring it out and roll up and place around the neck. cools real quick. Got to stay hydrated too. No sports drinks, to much sodium for average person.
