Knoxville, TN to St. Paul Minnesota <Short on time>

Like The Bandit, "We got a long way to go, and a short time to get there." My wife and I are transporting dogs, the four-legged brand, to the St. Paul area for our local shelter. I don't anticipate making long stops on the way up, but on the way back, once we have dropped off the animals, I would like to sample some foods in MN, IN, or IL. Our route takes on I-65, I-39, I-90, I-94, those are the major ones. We leave on Monday afternoon. This is our first time traveling in this part of the country. Let us know if there is something we just shouldn't miss. I'm sure there are tons. It's a 987 mile trip, there's gotta be some good stops. We'd prefer not too stray too far from the interstates if possible.

It depends on the jog you're taking through the Cincinnati/Indianapolis portion of your trip but if you're going through Indianapolis, Gray Bros. Cafeteria (reviewed on the site) is ten minutes off the interstate and worthwhile if you like cafeteria fare. I'm partial to Cossetta's pizza which is in downtown St. Paul but there are many many places you could go in the Cities that would be awesome.

I like Cossetta's pizza also but I also like Red Savoy Pizza
