I haven't been there since I was in high school. It wasn't Kono's then. I don't think it even had a name. But every Tuesday and Saturday, they had spaghetti with garlic bread for twentyfive cents. You couldn't come inside, but only come up to a kitchen window. They would grab your quarter and shove out a paper plate full of food. The inside of the place was reserved for people with money. I never saw the interior. This was in the middle to late sixties.

    Even back then that was a good price.
