Krispy Kreme: Yay or Nay?

I've never eaten one, so I have no opinion.
Diabetes, not willpower is the reason.

Used to like krispy kreme until they put a bakery/shop in the neighboring county 2 or 3 years ago. KK tried to impose their corporate might onto a little mom n pop custard stand named krispy kream 2 counties away. The custard stand had been around since the 60's and sells custard and hot foods but no donuts. KK filed a suit to have them change their name and of course mom n pop had to dig into their own pockets to fight it. KK must've had some stiff opposition though because they finally offered the custard stand the deal that they would cease and desist if mom n pop agreed never to sell donuts........dah.  The KK bakery closed up about a year later. All that blah blah blah, serves 'em right.

Around here in New Jersey, the donut places are Dunkin' Donuts and Krispy Kreme. I find that the Dunkin taste better the first day, while the Krispy Kreme age MUCH better.
