HI Everyone...just wanted to know if anyone can give me an idea on what insurance will cost me a year on my italian ice cart. I am hoping to finally get up and running and wanted to know if most events and festivals all require insurance and what i should expect to pay annually. Thanks so much!! SUE

All of that info would be very location sensitive. Be much easier to call an local agent/ I do know that you can get a pretty good discount if you tie all your insurance needs together. A buddy of mine gets homeowners, car, life, workers comp and liability from the same source on the same plan and pays just a bit more then he did when it was just homeowners and car.

Suem, Not that it has direct relevance because I am pretty far away from your location, but about 90% of the festivals that I have looked at ranging from California, Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico have all required at least a 1,000,000 liability insurance naming the particular festival you'll be at as one of the insured. I have no idea about your neck of the woods. I apologize that I can't help you with the fee price that you should expect to pay for your policy. That typically is based on a case-by-case scenario and the extent of coverage you desire.

Anybody can write that, no cooking involved. Liability 1M, commercial on trailer and tow vehicle. Age, where you live, experience all play apart. Call commercial ins. you will get quotes from 1500 plus to 350, dig inquire your monies. It all boils down at what you can sleep with.

Hey Sue, we have our liability insurance (1 mil) thru State Farm and it runs $328 a year and we have no other insurance with them.

Mine runs about $350 per year on my ice cart for $1 mil - catch is that does not cover anything while towing, which works fine since I'm in one location. Stephanie
