I know, it is probably futile....does anyone have a source for licorice snaps? The last I heard was the manufacturer was defunct and the machines were no longer operational. This sux. "Good N Plenty" is OK as a substitute, but snaps rock.

I am a confessed Snaps addict.

They can be purchased at Walgreens Drugstores (in person or online), or they are now available at Target stores. Beware of online retro candy sites selling them in big bags- they are expensive and not fresh!

If you like licorice, try shopping at www.licoriceinternational.com Amazing selection of licorice, although some of that stuff from Scandinavia is revolting.

Just a heads-up regarding Walgreen's: the regular price for a 5.5 ounce bag, in the store or on their web site, is $1.39 per bag, which equals $4.04 per pound. Last week, they were on a display at $1.29 a bag ($3.75 a pound). They have always been fresh when I have purchased them at Walgreen's stores. Shipping, if you use the web site, is a flat $5.49, or, if you really like Snaps, free on orders of $50 or more. This is more affordable than any of the web candy sellers sites I have visited. Is it my imagination, or do they taste even better when they cost less?
