La Borinqueña - New London, CT Closed?

Went by La Borinqueña today, there was a for rent sign out front. does anyone know if they are gone for good or just moved?

I'm glad I saw this. I was in New London, CT over this past summer. I couldn't find La Borinquena and the phone had been disconnected. Too bad....it sounded like my kind of place. Anybody know what happened?

Went there once, just after they were named the best sandwich in America and had what was truly a great sandwich. Went back a few weeks later and they were gone. I dont think they reopened and I cant find a decent cuban sandwich in Connecticut now.

Now I am really upset that I missed out on this place! Too bad they closed right after getting such good publicity.
