Lackawanna Radisson at night.....

This is a dual exercise; I'm fulfilling part of an assignment where I need to take a picture of a city at night, and I also wanted to take a shot at that HDR stuff. This is the clock on top of the Lackawanna Radisson Hotel, in Scranton PA. It is 5 images merged. I think I kind of like it in B&W. It is starker. Here is a wide-angle of the hotel. The highlights are blown out a bit, but I like that flare of purple at the far right, it gives the shot some flair.

Oh I do like the one with the purple--it's kind of dramatic. So you're taking a class?

Yep, on line. It's from Proud Photography. I don't want to "push" it by linking, but the IP address is what you'd assume. It's the best $100 I spent. And you don't need a fancy camera, your point and shoot digital will be fine; I used mine for a couple assignments.

Your correct use of "flare" and "flair" is impressive. I'm not familiar with the hotel but the third image gives it a "legendary" appearance. Brad
