i live on the Tennessee River on the Fort Loudon embayment. Downstreem from me is the Watts Bar embayment of the Tennessee River where it is reported that a million Pounds or better of mercury was accidently released during the 40's from the Oak Ridge facility where the A bomb was developed. The entire Oak Ridge area is still considered hot and it is advised that no bottom feeder fish should be consumed. Paul E. Smith Knoxville, TN

I thought that Catfish we had near your place seemed a bit heavy ! It was day-time, or we probably could have seen it glowing in the dark. When I think back to all the nickels and dimes I 'polished' with Mercury gathered from the oil-wells near our Home in SoCal when I was a kid, I wonder how bad the effects of all that contact will be over a life-time.
