I believe a wonderful tomato base, lots of cheese, and a great crouton addition-just my opinion!

Creamy tomato base (not like Campbell's tomato soup, more like canned whole romas with ricotta or cream cheese), bowtie pasta (mimicking lasagne noodles), garlic, onions, maybe some yellow and green squash, sausage (hot Italian would be my choice) or hamburger, fresh basil, mozzarella, parmesan, and ricotta on top and baked.

Boil lasagne noodles until pliable, then cut them into large, irregular shapes. It will give the appearance of lasagne cut with a fork, and you'll have the frilly edges. Otherwise, make the lasagne sauce that you usually do, add spring or filtered water and maybe a wee little bit of red wine. before serving add a dollop of ricotta, then shred some mozzarella on top and run it under the broiler to melt and you have it.

Take a cooked lasagna noodle (cut in half?) spread meat sauce on it, top with a little ricotta, grated parmesan, and roll it, then center it in a soup bowl, fill in around it with a tomato-basil soup. Top the soup bowl with sliced mozzarella or fontina which you run under the broiler before serving.

That would have a nice presentation, but might be difficult to eat with a ... spoon. Do your soups come with bibs?

The picture before you broke in to the top looks good to me. The actual below the surface soup doesn't. How did it taste?

Is won-ton soup that hard to eat with a spoon? Same idea, and if it's too big, just cut it with the edge of the spoon.
