I love Le Seur canned baby peas, buttered, salt and pepper. Am I the Micheal Hoffman of Peas?

My father grew up in Le Seur. He took pride in his peas.

You can't be. I am the Michael Hoffman of peas. I love Le Seur Petit Pois. I love them with or without butter, salt and pepper.

The MH that I met 2 1/2 years ago proclaimed:  "I do not eat vegetables or salad."  Alrighty.  But I bought some fresh peas in the pods at the farm in June and we sat outside and shucked them.  I cooked them and there was not one morsel left!

I grew peas in my garden once.  Not one pea ever made it to the house.  I munched on them raw when I was working in the garden.  I have really never  liked canned peas.  Perhaps I should try LeSeur.

I like leisure pees too.    My local grocery 'Harvey's' had a great store brand under their name which was just as good. (I think they were leisure re-packaged and sold at about 1/2 the price)  ... Now that Food Lion bought the chain, they changed the packer.  The Harvey's can pees with the Lion logo is sh't now.   I've even found stems in the cans

I've done that too.  ... The year my dad grew sweet pees in the garden, the pee tasted very sweet ... like little balls of sugar.

I worked in a canning factory one summer. I had nightmares about peas. I never want to see another pea.

My husband and I both love Le Seur peas. My kids like peas otherwise, particularly baby peas but they think the canned ones are disgusting!

I don't like canned peas of any kind. I like frozen or, of course, fresh from the garden, eaten right out of the pod. Maybe its a texture thing.

I do not like them spicy
I do not like them bland.
I do say I will not eat peas when overcooked and canned.

We've used Le Seur over the years for pea casseroles (my wife's family take on green bean casserole, since no-one really like green beans). My only beef with them is that they add sugar to them. Peas really don't need added sugar, they're sweet enough as is. The last couple of years I've taken to using frozen peas. Works better and doesn't taste like candy.

I should be the Leseur petite pois green pea queen, growing up, we ate them with every Sunday dinner and most holidays - I still like them.
