I recently heard Alan Richman, food reviewer talk about the best hamburger he has eaten in the states. He said its at a place called Le Tub, in Hollywood, Fla. Anyone been there and can you confirm or dispute the quality?

Le Tub in Hollywood , where you can eat sitting in a bath tub bench seat, or dine on a toilet.

Can't vouch for the burgers, but they had great fish sandwiches and fries, and ice cold Bud. Spent a few hours there after being rained out at Gulfstream Park a few years back.

I have been going to Le Tub since the early 90's. The place, food, and drinks were awesome. Well, went back today after not going for about a year and everything was so horrible that we couldn't even eat it. Ordered chili, greek salad and a burger. Almost threw up from the chili-greek salad was nothing like it used to be (they used to have huge chunks of feta with beautiful beefstake tomato and onion) and the burger was INEDIBLE!!! Started to lose my appetite when I saw the boxes of meat being brought in for the burgers. This was definitely not sirloin-eww. They must be having a good laugh at anyone who thinks that they taste good. The meat was so tough-it was hard to cut with a knife. What a waste of $31!!! I will not go back and had to laugh when some tourist said to the waitress, "that sure was a good burger!". I used to love this place-but now they've covered the wood carved table tops-couldn't even find my initials any more. I'm sad to have lost one of my favorite spots-I have to admit IT STINKS!!!

On my one visit there last December I thought their cheeseburger was very good and the atomesphere was excellent - though not the best burger I've ever tasted, certainly up there on the list.
