Legends Sports Bar & Grill - Ormond Beach,FL

"Where Should I Eat?" If you live anywhere near this place, try it. I thought it was great. We heard it was good from several friends and they were right on the $. There were 6 in our party and everyone loved their meal.

I had their pork chops with champagne sauce and mushrooms with a side of mac n cheese and Pittsburgh slaw (vinegar based); you can choose from several sides including mashed potatoes, fries, etc. The chops were perfectly cooked and incredibly tender. The mac n cheese was one of the best versions (it had a little kick to it!)I've had in a long time and especially in this area. I also liked the slaw.

One of our party had the burger and they liked it very much. I tasted it and it was good. Nice char broiled taste and very good fries perfectly cooked as requested.

Another had the cheesesteak and I tasted that one too! Very good again. Two had the Oakland Chicken Sandwich which had cheese, avocado and a sour cream sauce. That one I did not try, but both people liked it.

The service was very good. Everyone had a smile on their face and was really accomodating.

We had a few of the desserts and they were good albeit they are not made on the premises. This is a welcome addition to a town with too few good places to eat. Now, they need encouragement (customers) and I hope they can get them in this tough economy.

We talked to the owner for several minutes. He has a good management staff; one of the key people was a former executive with the Stonewood chain. Their chef/cook knows what he's doing!

I wish the owner luck. He deserves our support. We'll be back! He promised to keep the food to the standard we had tonight. He just has to hang in there!

That's a "jackpot" when all 6 people are pleased with their meals!
Smiling workers, good charbroiled burger, creative pork chops ....that adds up to a winner!

No wonder Legends is so good; they landed a former Stonewood executive!

SK Bob - It's west off of Exit 268 on I-95 on SR40 W...Right in the shopping plaza near the 7-11.

Several more people have been here lately and they all liked it. I really hope this guy can hang in there.

SKBob - Went to Legend's again and it was still very good. Sadly, it was not doing well on a Saturday night. Maybe they had a good crowd earlier int he afternoon? If you go during the week, they have Happy Hour and a good house wine is $3 a glass. Went wtih another couple last night and everyone liked their food. The owner was not there last night when we were there. Service was good, too.

i think the correct term is SHE! Miss T. is a she and was a manager at Stonewood and is a GREAT CHEF and Operating Partner at Legends...I only come there because of her and her commitment to the project and have been a regular customer of her's for years...thanks for the great food and service...see you soon!!!

Todd - I did not know the manager was also the chef? That's not what the owner said. What he said was the menu was her idea and that she was his partner. He spoke very highly of her. The owner said there was a guy who was the chef and he found him from another other local place in Daytona..He pointed him out to me. So, who is doing the cooking? Ms. T? The guy? Thanks for clearing up this .....they are doing a wonderful job regardless of who is doing what. I hope they can survive. I like the menu very, very much.
