Not bad for a guy who didn't know what bar sugar was in '09. Might be something to this for those who are saying they aren't making any money selling dogs.

we sell about 15,000 lemonades/limeades a year. ya, it is worth it. we have 2 trailers and 2 lemonade carts that set out side the trailer. i do have a hot dog cart that gets very little use but when it goes out we do lemonades on it as well.

ya, the drinks have come along ways for us. it doubles our profits everywhere we go.

If you've got the green light on simple syrup...another options is to carry tea concentrate...for iced tea...sweet tea...or Arnold Palmer's 1/2 lemonade 1/2 iced tea. In this case (depending on how strong the concentrate) it only take a splash or so...to Palmer a lemonade.

A good start is 20 tea bags/3 cups of water.

Excellent idea adding tea CCinNJ. Tea is a very high gross profit item. Does anyone have a good sweet tea recipe?

This tea works really well (excellent flavor) compared to many of the much more expensive brands that are losing their punch. The price is right for business. Dollar Tree carries is 80 tea bags for $1. I'm sure many Dollar Stores stock-it as well.

Does anyone know if you have to refrigerate your sugar water when preparing for lemonade sales?

No you don't have to but if you are going to keep it around anything more than a week you should put some preservatives in it. Citric acid and sodium benzoate http://www.1-800-shaved-i...csug.html.   (A little Lysergic acid might be fun too. JUST KIDDING! sheesh)
