Lexington, VA

I'll be spending a night or two in Lexington in May, doing some research on T.J. Jackson - any new recommendations for that area? Within a few miles please, I'll be limited as to transportation.
Thanks!
Bill

There's not a whole lot there. We did have a nice meal at a bar and grill type place but I don't remember anything else being noteworthy.
    You might could try this.

I spent the night there just 2 weeks ago but did not eat anywhere in town.  Gorgeous town and nearby is Clifton Forge, another darling town.  There should be some interesting local eats in a town like Lexington.

Lexington is just down the road from Staunton, VA, the home of several "Roadfood"-style places like Wright's Dairy Rite and Mrs. Rowe's ( http://www.mrsrowes.com/index.html ).  In addition, Staunton has great fine dining venues such as The Staunton Grocery ( http://www.stauntongrocery.com/ ).

Staunton, a Victorian-era jewel, is definitely worth exploring during your visit to the beautiful town of Lexington.
