We've got a good place in DC area call La Tasca (2900 Wilson Blvd. Arlington, VA) Very good. My wife and I loved it. Atmosphere and service is great also, with the inside being and open three stories high with a spiral staircase, okra-colored walls, and an array of hundreds of plates, paintings, hand-painted tiles, and wrought-iron objects on the walls. Metro accessible too. Since it's owned by a UK company, I doubt it's authenticity, but I enjoyed it none the less.

The Winnamucca Hotel is great, but my own favorite is in San Francisco in the north beach area. I can't recall the name, but it was in one of the early Roadfood books. It isn't the one linked to above.

Scorereader, I wasn't aware that the University of Kentucky had expanded it's reach into the Nations Capital. I'm glad you are enjoying the Basque-Wildcat Cusine
